Powers in the numbers. Use the numbers of what Death & Co. is doing to tell the story. Then owner/operators will listen!!

Why about banks and other investors? …or maybe they just aren’t the right financial partners. Hearts and minds of traditional real estate finance need to change.

I still think even banks and PE can be convinced if it’s in the numbers and scoped out. The challenge is most f&b operators aren’t Death&Co. so the story needs to be convincing. Many of us have experienced first hand the burn of working with poor F&B…

Completely agree. What still feels unresolved is that we’re asking F&B to do brand, placemaking, and revenue work, while underwriting and ops frameworks still treat it like a liability. Until those systems catch up, the gap between conviction and execution stays real.

I think you would appreciate the trend that I’m seeing through many of the conversations I have on the podcast that many more projects Hotel restaurant and otherwise start with a branding agency first get that clear and then it becomes a decision matrix for everything else on the project
